TOM SIENIEWICZ, AIA, AICP, LEED
Principal
Tom Sieniewicz is a principal at Chan Krieger Sieniewicz, where he has directed a wide range of complex projects for government, institutional and private clients since joining the firm in 1987. Equally at home in the studio and on the construction site, his great passion is making lyrical buildings that really work. He brings 20 years of experience in all aspects of permitting, design and construction, holds a construction supervisor’s license, has been accredited by the US Green Building Council as a LEED professional, and is a certified planner through the American Planning Association. He recently served as Principal in Charge on the Shapiro Center for Cardiovascular Medicine at Boston’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the Greater Boston Food Bank Yawkey Distribution Center.
Tom received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University. He was a finalist for the Rome Prize in 1988. Before joining Chan Krieger Sieniewicz, Tom worked at LeMessurier Consultants, structural engineers.
Tom is extensively involved in community affairs; his community activities are a natural extension of the firm’s founding principle that the highest calling for a design professional is to work on projects that shape, enliven and enrich the public realm. Whenever he can, he plays with his children, fishes for salmon, paints wild landscapes, and runs as far and fast as he can, 14 marathons and counting.
